As per the site rules all stories must be given a rating by the author.
Here is a list of the ratings and examples of themes and which ratings they belong too.
(U) Universal- family and children safe.
This is a no brainer, no swearing, violence or sexual themes.
Perfectly suitable for any reader.
(PG-13) Suitable for most readers.
However may contain some violence, swearing or sexual themes. This is the most commonly used rating for most fan-fictions and online stories.
(R-18 ) Restricted, over 18's only.
This is the rating that should be used if swear words violence and sexual content is present in your work. Any heavier themes like graphic violence/torture or graphic sex should carry a warning and a disclaimer. Use this is your work is of an adult themed nature.
